While this one was really all about Triple H and Randy Orton, and their battle over the World Heavyweight Championship that sat around the waste of the former, it stood out as another showcase for an up and coming Rated-R Superstar on his way to the top of the card.

The build was genuinely one of the best of all time for a Survivor Series match, making Trips look as vulnerable as ever during his infamous Raw reign of terror, a theme that continued throughout the match itself as he captained opposite The Viper.

Edge and Orton found themselves as two of the final three contestants in what was a highly entertaining match, with so many cogs in motion. The two of them picked off four of the seven total eliminations, arguably dominating the match for each of their sides.

The future Ultimate Opportunist picked of Chris' Benoit and Jericho, while Orton capped off the heroic comeback by pinning both Edge and Triple H as the final two to win the match.

Having been wronged by Evolution and Triple H countless times since winning the Heavyweight Title himself earlier in the year, the crowd were fully behind Orton and lost it when he finally got the pin on Triple H and stole the win from a seemingly lost cause.

Despite the momentum from this match, Orton wouldn't actually win another World Heavyweight strap for another seven years, even taking three to win a World Title of any sort.
