Every Event WWE Has Cancelled (Since Refusing To Cancel WrestleMania 36)

2. WWE Backstage (Mar 20)

Perhaps a little unfair to put this down as an event that WWE has cancelled, given that Backstage is produced, filmed and broadcast entirely by FOX, but in a list of large-scale, arena-based events, it's interesting enough to warrant a mention.

WWE Backstage, the quasi-kayfabe, entertainment vehicle responsible for bringing CM Punk tantalisingly close to a WWE return, has been put on hiatus as part of a wider policy brought in by the network.

In a press release they put out last week, FOX Sports said; “Out of an abundance of caution, we have made the decision to suspend production of our live FS1 daily studio shows through at least Friday, March 20. Our top priority is the health and safety of our employees. We will continue to monitor the situation and adjust accordingly.”

This policy includes WWE Backstage, with WWE following up with a promise to update their fans on any developments as and when they had them. At the time of writing there is no further news, and there likely won't be any save for extensions on the date above.
