Every Major WWE Black Wednesday Release Ranked From Least To Most Successful

3. Eric Young

Kenny Omega Good Brothers
IMPACT Wrestling

As soon as he had the chance to do so, Eric Young made himself relevant once more, bursting back into IMPACT Wrestling as soon as his ninety-day no-compete clause was up.

Returning at the Slammiversary pay-per-view as a surprise fifth entrant in the main event World Championship bout, it didn't take long for 'EY' long to become a two-time World Champion, ending the reign of Eddie Edwards a few weeks thereafter. A strong story vs. Rich Swann followed, culminating at Bound For Glory at the end of October.

Even without the World Championship, though, 'The World Class Maniac' has remained at the top of IMPACT Wrestling ever since. Debuting his new Violent By Design stable with Joe Doering, Deaner, and Rhino, Young has had a slew of entertaining outings alongside the group vs. Jake Something, Chris Sabin, James Storm, and others.

Although Young's redemption run has been halted due to a torn ACL suffered at the recent IMPACT tapings, there's no doubt in this writer's mind that he'll continue to help the group succeed even while he spends the next six to nine months on the sidelines.
