Every Major WWE Black Wednesday Release Ranked From Least To Most Successful

2. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson

Kenny Omega Good Brothers
AEW

Of all the WWE releases from last April, there were never any questions about the post-WWE success that Luke Gallows (now Doc Gallows) and Karl Anderson would have had.

Although many had predicted a jump back to either New Japan or Ring Of Honor where they honed their craft before joining AJ Styles in WWE, a surprise twist saw them sign with IMPACT Wrestling the night before July's Slammiversary pay-per-view.

A run as World Tag Team Champions brought with it decent matches vs. The North, Beer Guns, and AEW's Private Party, as well as the duo sharing their responsibilities across IMPACT and AEW, where they've aligned themselves with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. Again, this run has been excellent. The working relationship between the two promotions has been a blessing in disguise for The Good Brothers.

They're almost certainly going to become AEW World Tag Team Champions further down the line. With IMPACT also having a working agreement with New Japan Pro Wrestling, where FinJuice are the current IMPACT tag champions, it's entirely plausible Gallows and Anderson show back up in the land that made them, too.

A full-blown Bullet Club reunion? Don't mind if I do.
