Every Major WWE Black Wednesday Release Ranked From Least To Most Successful
13. Nick Comoroto
When Nick Comoroto - then known as Nick Ogarelli - was announced as one of the few NXT cutbacks, the majority of fans will have been surprised. Not because he was a perennial fan favourite of the black-and-gold brand, but rather because no-one had a clue who the f*ck he was.
A mainstay of NXT live events, the then-Ogarelli never had one televised match, instead being felled by the likes of Bronson Reed, Kassius Ohno, and goddamn Babatunde on the house show circuit.
You'd never expect this, considering where the guy's ended up.
Now Nick Comoroto, he's been a somewhat regular fixture on All Elite Wrestling programming since his first Dark match on 13 October last year. Granted, the beast did originally start off in the role of one of Dark's many, many jobbers, being used to build Jungle Boy and Will Hobbs, amongst others, but he soon found himself as part of The Nightmare Family.
Of course, that then lead him to be part of QT Marshall's recently-established heel faction, The Factory. Comoroto, alongside Aaron Solow and Anthony Ogogo, is now at the helm of one of AEW's new top factions.
He was jobbing on NXT live events a year ago. The phrase "right place, right time" couldn't be more apt for such a talent.
