Every Major WWE Black Wednesday Release Ranked From Least To Most Successful

11. EC3

Kenny Omega Good Brothers
ROH

Here's another guy who should have done a whole lot more since departing the 'E.

EC3 is someone fans had wanted to see leave WWE from the moment his main roster promotion was announced in late 2018. A somewhat stellar NXT run, including that ladder match from NXT TakeOver: New Orleans, meant nothing once he left Triple H's iron fist for Vince McMahon's.

Unfortunately, we weren't given much when he first came back to IMPACT Wrestling. His storyline with Moose centred around the TNA World Heavyweight Championship could - and should - have been one of the promotion's top stories of the year. Instead, it was the same skit week after week, culminating in a dull cinematic match at Bound For Glory which Moose won.

What was the point?

It's not been all bad for 'The Essential Character', as he's now signed a full-time deal with Ring Of Honor where he's been in a feud opposite Jay Briscoe that included a great pay-per-view bout at the recent Anniversary Show. Having already been involved in a World Championship number one contender's bout, the future looks bright for the former Ethan Carter III under Cary Silkin's authority.
