Every NJPW G1 Climax 28 Entrant Ranked From Least To Most Likely To Win

6. Minoru Suzuki

Now 50 years old, Minoru Suzuki is currently in enjoying one of the best years of his three-decade career. Matches with Hirooki Goto, Togi Makabe, and Hiroshi Tanahashi have eclipsed a meagre 2017 body of work that saw many a promising bout marred by contrived gimmick matches and tedious American-style heel antics. The Suzuki-gun head honcho is now arguably better than ever, and he'll become the fourth oldest participant in G1 history when he steps into the ring this July and August, hoping to cap his rebound year with a tournament victory.

Suzuki remains one of NJPW's biggest heels, so winning isn't out of the question. Still, the fact that he isn't under full-time contract and currently works as a freelancer may prevent a monster push.
