7. Hiroshi Tanahashi

Hiroshi Tanahashi
NJPW

The only person that thinks Hiroshi Tanahashi is still the ace of New Japan Pro Wrestling is Hiroshi Tanahashi.

He's a legend, and perhaps the single most important wrestler in NJPW history, but Kazuchika Okada replaced him as the company's franchise player a while ago. He's still a big deal; just not THE big deal anymore.

Regardless, Tanahashi will be booked strongly throughout. He'll add another chapter to his awesome series with Okada, and there's a strong chance he'll defeat 'The Rainmaker,' having failed in a recent IWGP Heavyweight Championship bout. Expect his physical condition to form one of block A's biggest narratives, too, as the 'High Flying Star' has an odd habit of picking up coincidental injuries ahead of wrestling's most gruelling tournament.
