The only thing keeping this from topping the list outright is that even the best moments from The ThunderDome simply can't compete with the as-it-was-intended feeling of live pro wrestling.

But this is absolutely one of the best moments from The ThunderDome. And certainly the best match.

In a contest that may yet prove to be Daniel Bryan's last in WWE, the two flexed their fabulous singles chemistry one last time in a gripping affair that lost nothing despite the outcome feeling like a foregone conclusion. Bryan's contract had been the talk of the landscape more than this one last rematch, and even a loss was greeted with the assumption that he would re-sign and simply switch to Raw as per the "Bryan must leave SmackDown stipulation", but all these matches ever need is one effective tease that the underdog can prevail. This had them coming out of every counter.

Bryan was in irresistible form for his one final shot, but perhaps inspired by his brand new grandiose entrance music (or that he'd stacked Bryan and WrestleMania opponent Edge on top of one another just weeks earlier), Roman was too cruel and cool to be brought down by the dying days of the 'Yes Movement'.

Truthfully, the shakiest days of Roman's entire run lay ahead after this largely forgotten classic, but you'd be fooled into thinking it was here he ascended to a next level never to return.
