6. Vs Logan Paul (Crown Jewel 2022)

Roman Reigns Vs Logan Paul seemed destined to be the kind of event that made for a more impressive poster than a match. To then say it over-delivered on those expectations would be the wrestling understatement of the decade.

Their Crown Jewel Universal Championship match was an improbably awesome bout that yet again highlighted the heightened gear Reigns had started working in once The Bloodline/Sami Zayn saga had morphed into a transformative programme.

Paul yet again playing the platonic ideal of a special guest-turned pro and Roman balancing his performance to only sell fear at exactly the right time made for a captivating spectacle and easily one of WWE's best matches of the year. The spring on Logan's leap added height and heft to his big moments, and it took substantially more ringside nonsense from the usual gangs of goons for 'The Tribal Chief' to leave Saudi Arabia still in the company's prime spot.
