When Lisa finds a talent for Hockey goal tending in Season 6 episode 'Lisa On Ice" Homer is far from supportive at first.

He claims that the Holy Bible of all things supports his views. Homer tells Lisa "If the Bible has taught us nothing else and it hasn't, it's that girls should stick to girls' sports, such as hot-oil wrestling, foxy boxing, and such-and-such."

I don't remember reading that in Sunday School, but I'm sure Homer wouldn't lie.
