The Demon King’s debut on WWE’s main roster came less than one week before Finn Bálor’s match with Seth Rollins for the newly created Universal Championship at SummerSlam 2016. While Finn's reveal of the Demon to Rollins on the 15 August edition of RAW was warmly received, in hindsight it was a bit disappointing that the character's debut couldn't be held off for another six days.

Still, the appearance saw further instances of the ever-changing nature of the Demon, while acting as a slight best of for RAW's wider audience -- one that may not have been totally familiar with his exploits in NXT. The all-seeing Sauron-like eye on his back made a return, as did the slithering tongue on his chest. Meanwhile, the Demon fangs on Bálor’s mouth and chest were present as always, but featured a more angular and sharp design in a minor tweak.

The look's real distinction came in the form of demonic scribblings of the name "Demon King" on Finn's right leg and shoulder. Interestingly, while it acted as a preview for his appearance at SummerSlam, not all of the elements present made it unchanged to the pay-per-view.
