Every WCW Heavyweight Champion: Where Are They Now?

14. Goldberg

In his prime, Bill Goldberg was an unadulterated vessel of destruction, Spearing the absolute s**t out of hapless jobbers and midcarders alike in brutal fashion. Although many have tried to replicate it, no one will ever match Goldberg's late 1990s Spear. It was the pinnacle of a move that is now oversaturated.

He didn't taste defeat for more than a year after his debut in 1997, amassing an incredible 173-match undefeated streak, including his one and only World Championship reign when he defeated Scott Hall and Hulk Hogan on the same night to win the gold.

After WCW, he got a few matches in Japan before his much-maligned one-year WWE run that all but drove him into retirement, such was his disdain with how things had panned out.

Goldberg left the business, enjoying a fairly consistent career in TV and film for over a decade, even hosting reality show Bullrun for a few years, while also appearing in things like The Longest Yard, NCIS and Law & Order. He also did commentary and interviews with MMA promotion EliteXC for a while as well.

Incredibly, after a dozen years away, Goldberg returned to WWE in 2016, hitting the ring once again at 50-years-old in a shocking win over Brock Lesnar. His part-time run has seen him capture two World Championships and a couple of WrestleMania matches in the ensuing years, defying his age to perform long after everyone had written off a potential comeback.
