Every WCW Heavyweight Champion: Where Are They Now?
22. Ric Flair
Ric Flair won seven (although it'd eight if WWE recognised his title vacation and subsequent reclaiming of the gold in 1994) of his famous 16 World Championships in WCW. He popped in and out of the title scene from the promotions split with the NWA in 1991, to its downfall and sale in 2001. He holds the record for most reigns with the belt, as well as the second-longest combined days with over 500.
Despite already being 52 when he wrestled Sting on the final episode of Nitro, Flair remained incredibly busy in the ensuing two decades.
He jumped back to WWE, winning a few titles and running in Evolution before that retirement match at WrestleMania 24. He signed with Ring Of Honor, wrestled a few times in an odd Hulkamania tour of Australia. He had his infamous stint with TNA and even appeared in Japan with his son as he was finding his way back to WWE.
Flair has featured in movies, music videos and even done voiceover work for a video game. He's been married and divorced a few times.
These days he makes sporadic appearances in WWE, often alongside his daughter Charlotte, and pops up on podcasts, and at events and conventions to drop a few token WOOOOO's here and there. Just stylin' and profilin' like he always has.
