Every WCW Heavyweight Champion: Where Are They Now?
1. Chris Jericho
Chris Jericho is the gift that just keeps on giving, continuing to sit near the top of the wrestling industry 30 years after he entered it, still winning World Championships and heading major promotions as he approaches 50 years of age.
Although he spent three years in WCW throughout the late 1990s, it wasn't until he jumped ship to the WWF that he actually won the WCW World Title. Funny how wrestling works. He bagged the strap twice, the later of those famously making him the first Undisputed World Champion when he won the WWF and WCW belts on the same night, something he has been very keen on reminding people in the years since.
He spent the better part of two decades with WWE, winning more championships while leaving and returning a few times. He's also found great success with his metal band Fozzy, heading the group on multiple world tours and studio albums. He created the wildly successful Talk Is Jericho podcast that is still very much running today. He's released a few books and popped up in TV and a few small films.
His Rock 'N' Wrestling Rager at Sea has been a massive success over the past two years, with a third cruise very much on the horizon.
His biggest headlines in recent times though have come away from the bright lights of Vince McMahon. Firstly becoming IWGP Intercontinental Champion in a stunning run with NJPW, taking on the like of Kenny Omega, Tetsuya Naito and Hiroshi Tanahashi. Then shocking the American scene by joining the newly-formed All Elite Wrestling, creating history by becoming their inaugural World Champion.
