20. Sting

Sting has had one of the most impressive, successful, and longest careers in American wrestling. The man has been around and done it all across three decades in the ring, including his six WCW Championship reigns spanning seven years.

After becoming one of the faces of the company throughout the 1990s, Sting went on to become the leading man of TNA, dominating the main event scene and sitting atop the totem pole for over a decade, including a plethora of World Championship reigns, even after he reached 50.

He then made an incredible entrance into WWE after decades evading the company, appearing at Survivor Series 2014 to a huge ovation. His run would be an odd one though, looking very promising at first, then not, then looking good again... then not.

His career ended after suffering a neck injury against Seth Rollins in 2015, announcing his retirement while entering the Hall of Fame at WrestleMania 32.

Since then, Sting has remained active around WWE, appearing in a handful of Network shows, as well as the usual run of fan signings and conventions. Something that will tickle any wrestling fan though, is his constant enthusiasm towards a potential comeback, a final match to Sting's career the way he wants.

His most recent comments point towards a long-awaited WrestleMania match with The Undertaker.
