Every WrestleMania Triple Threat Match Ranked - From Worst To Best
3. Edge & Christian Vs. The Dudley Boyz (c) Vs. The Hardy Boyz - WrestleMania 2000
A TLC match before that was even a thing, this was a triangle ladder match between the three teams who completely revolutionised tag team wrestling in the modern age. Edge & Christian, The Hardyz, and The Dudleyz did battle in what was seemingly a constant stream of three way matches, yet they seemed to wow the audience every single time. What these six men were doing to each other's bodies borders on the insane. An argument can be made for this being the most innovative of all of their matches. It came before the TLC gimmick, and as such what they put together in this match was truly groundbreaking. They left a trail of destruction and violence before them, with table after table being smashed in the name of increased violence. Finishers were hit from the tops of ladders, and the crowd responded in kind, losing their collective minds every time two men were suspended in the air for a moment in time. A platform was created on top of two ladders underneath the belts, and eventually it would be Edge and Christian who managed to reclaim the straps. It seemed impossible at the time, but they would go on to top this in future.
Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
