EVERY Wrestler AEW Has Ever Released - Where Are They Now?
6. Bea Priestley
English-born New Zealander Bea Priestley trained under Travis Banks before debuting for NZWPW at just 16 years old. After moving to the UK to continue her career in the ring, she wrestled with Progress, WCPW, the newly-resurrected World of Sport and Stardom, where she held the World of Stardom Championship for 184 days, before making her transition to AEW.
After turning down a WWE contract, Priestley debuted with AEW at 2019's Fight for the Fallen, teaming with Shoko Nakajima to defeat Britt Baker and Riho. This match resulted in an on-screen feud with Baker, rooted in the very real concussion Priestley gave her during their first fight. Despite a brief but impressive run, she was released due to her inability to travel from her home in Japan due to the same pandemic-related restrictions that all but ended Sadie Gibbs' career.
Nevertheless, rather than tapping out, Priestley spent a short spell with NJPW in Japan before signing with WWE in 2021. She made her debut as Blair Davenport on NXT, where she is still taking names on a regular basis.
