EVERY Wrestler AEW Has Ever Released - Where Are They Now?

4. Awesome Kong

Kylie Rae
AEW

After appearing on the Discovery Health Body Challenge reality TV show, Awesome Kong began her wrestling career at EWF's School of Hard Knocks back in the early 2000s. Moving directly into primarily Japanese promotions, Kong didn't return to the US until 2006, where she progressed swiftly from the independent circuit through to a signing with WWE in 2010. Here, under the ring name Kharma, she broke convention and records, ranked first in the inaugural PWI Women's 100, and became the third woman ever to enter the men's Royal Rumble.

It makes sense then that she was snapped up to join AEW for their first ever show, Double or Nothing. But she soon ruined the hype she rode in on by forming the woefully received Nightmare Collective with Brandi Rhodes and, after going on hiatus to film '80s wrestling series GLOW, she never returned. She was let go by AEW after not competing for a year, and soon thereafter she announced her retirement from wrestling due to age and injury.

However! Kong returned to the ring in September this year for IMPACT's 1000th episode. It seems all is not over for the 46-year-old just yet.
