EVERY Wrestler AEW Has Ever Released - Where Are They Now?
3. Jake Atlas
Jake Atlas set the pro wrestling scene on fire in 2016, trailblazing his way through various promotions through to an early association with WWE in 2018, and an official signing in 2019.
Following his WWE release in 2021, Atlas switched to AEW, but suffered a knee injury during his debut in early 2022, while fighting Adam Cole, that sent him to the sidelines. Unfortunately for Atlas, this marked the beginning and end of his glory days with AEW as, following his arrest on domestic violence charges, he was removed from the roster and released from his contract.
Although the charges were later dropped, Atlas has not returned to the ring since. He subsequently made a public statement owning his declining mental health and alcohol abuse, and has since been through an outpatient program and found sobriety. Given Atlas's run with AEW was one of the shortest in the company's history, added to the fact of his acrimonius departure, chances are the wrestler will never work with the promotion again, and any future presence in the ring at all is looking unlikely.
