EVERY Wrestler AEW Has Ever Released - Where Are They Now?
2. AQA
Angela Quentina Arnold trained under Booker T and started out in his ROW promotion before signing with WWE in 2021 under her then-ring name Zayda Ramier. Within the year, she was medically disqualified from wrestling with the company due to bouts of anxiety and light-headedness and was subsequently released.
Making her AEW debut at the TBS Championship against Jade Cargill in early 2022, AQA's performance earned her a contract with the promotion. Six months of wrestling on Elevation later, however, AQA requested her release. Similar mental and physical issues to those that plagued her with WWE persisted and she felt she had to take an indefinite break from pro wrestling.
AQA hasn't been seen in the ring for over a year now, but there may still be hope she can find her way back to the business. More recently, she has appeared on NBC's HotWheels: Ultimate Challenge, pimping her old ride and showing that she still has a passion for public life, but for now the wrestling break is still on.
