The team that would become "The Hybrid 2" cut their teeth in Mexico. They're former AAA Tag Team Champions and both men won titles in Lucha Underground, where they really made their name in the US.

Last minute signings to AEW, the brightly-coloured duo made their presence felt on Double or Nothing with a strong showing in a tag team match.

Over the next few pay-per-views, Angelico and Evans lost to teams like Jurassic Express, The Dark Order, and Private Party. After their loss to the latter at All Out, the duo snapped, turning heel.

Sadly, this very talented combo have been severely underused in AEW. They've mostly appeared on Dark - their last appearance on Dynamite came during a tag team Battle Royal on 19 February this year.

This is very strange considering how frequently TH2 were used in the pre-TV era of Dynamite. They came into the company with such fanfare and were given a big heel turn spot at a major pay-per-view (albeit on the pre-show), so it seemed like the groundwork was being laid for a major push in the company.

And yet, when AEW arranged its first ever tag team title tournament in October, these two were nowhere to be seen.
