EVERY Wrestling Move Banned By WWE (And Why)

7. Wings Of Love

Michelle McCool’s Wings of Love finisher was impressive and had her positioned as one of the top stars in the WWE Divas Division. Awesome Kong also used a variation of it in TNA Wrestling called the Implant Buster. It is a devastating elevated Pedigree like maneuver.

However, Wings of Love is another one of those moves that expose the head and neck to injury if performed incorrectly. It’s not all that surprising that it was banned by WWE in 2008. What was surprising was reports of WWE adding Wings of Love to the banned list because it was simply too devastating a move for the Divas Division brand.

McCool was then forced to come up with a new finisher, and she settled on a favorite from rival TNA Wrestling. She began using AJ Styles’ Styles Clash but renamed it the Faithbreaker. When asked about it, Styles was quoted as saying that he was flattered by McCool using the move he invented.
