EVERY Wrestling Move Banned By WWE (And Why)

6. Pedigree

The Pedigree is Triple H’s finishing maneuver and was also used by Seth Rollins as a part of The Authority storyline. It’s an impressive finisher that initially looks like a butterfly suplex is going to be executed, but instead, the opponent is driven face-first to the mat. However, The Game’s original version of The Pedigree was banned by WWE.

When he first started performing the move in WWE, Triple H was not unlocking the arms soon enough, which led to some scary moments for those taking the maneuver. The original Pedigree made it very difficult to take the move without risk for permanent head and neck injury.

After it was banned, Triple H modified The Pedigree to make it safer for those on the other end of it. He simply unlocked the arms very early in the move progression so that the opponent could put their hands out to safely take the bump.
