EVERY Wrestling Move Banned By WWE (And Why)

10. Tiger Bomb

The Tiger Bomb is a double underhook powerbomb used all over the pro wrestling world. Over the years, variations of the maneuver have been used by such notable stars as Scott Steiner, Ahmed Johnson, William Regal, and Mitsuharu Misawa. However, the Tiger Bomb is on WWE’s banned list.

It's a tricky and dangerous move that can cause head and neck injuries. There is potential for loss of control for both wrestlers during the transition from the double underhook to the powerbomb. At one time, WWE was open to its use - Ahmed Johnson’s Pearl River Plunge variant was used as his finisher during his run in the 1990s - but is rarely seen in WWE rings today.

Several years ago, Cesaro used it in a match against Rob Van Dam and got a major reaction because the move hadn’t been seen in WWE in quite some time. Unfortunately, though it is a fairly safe maneuver in hands of competent performers, it simply falls into WWE’s high-risk category.
