2008 saw a pretty stacked line-up, and all of the big matches delivered to some degree. A big elimination main event saw Triple H outlast Orton, Cena and JBL to win the WWE Championship, while Undertaker and Edge put on an enjoyable rematch of their WrestleMania 24 classic.

Further down the card, HBK defeated Batista with Chris Jericho as special guest referee - a bout which sowed the seeds for Y2J and Michaels' epic feud later on the same year.

Had the rest of the undercard been more impressive, this event would probably find itself much higher on this list - but low points such as Big Show vs. Great Khali and a crowded 12-woman tag match prevented it from picking up any real momentum.
