WrestleMania I victors The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff were one of the last duos to reflect the Vince McMahon Snr's vision of the organisation before his son forced an escape from New York and out into the wider world. The gimmicks weren't yet entirely dated, but the root-and-branch changes coming to the division were best reflected by what they were set to replace.
