Every WWE Elimination Chamber Match Ranked Worst To Best
2. 2002 World Heavyweight Championship
They say that you never forget your first time, and that is truly the case when it comes to the Elimination Chamber. Not only was this the first time the demonic structure was presented, but it was also one of the best Chamber matches of all time.
Rob Van Dam, the man who was legitimately the only true long shot in the match, was a human highlight reel. As this was the first Elimination Chamber, this was the first time fans had seen a wrestler scale the steel sides and jump off the top of one of the pods; all highlights for the Whole F’n Show. Kane lived up to his moniker as The Devil's Favorite Demon as he dominated for stretches of this match and was the first in a long line of superstars needing to be taken out by multiple wrestlers' finishers.
Predictably, the match came down to long-time friends and rivals Triple H and Shawn Michaels. After a tense, violent and bloody final chapter of the first Elimination Chamber, Michaels finished off The Game, winning the World Heavyweight Championship in just his second match back since his return from enforced retirement.
This match might not have been perfect, as it was obviously each man’s first time entering the Elimination Chamber, but the finished product was as perfect as fans could have wanted at the time.
