The second Triple H vs. Randy Orton encounter to feature on this list was at least rather better than our previous entry. However, this still probably isn’t the one you’re thinking of - this particular clash came on the June 22, 2009 showing of Monday Night Raw.

On a commercial-free show, these two went at it for a good 20 minutes, and while there was nothing wrong with this match, per se, it seemed a little counterintuitive to go all-out in such a gruelling contest when the two would meet just six days later at The Bash pay-per-view.

This match was probably the better of the two, despite being given away on free TV. That may serve it well for the purposes of this list, but it doesn’t make too much sense in the big picture.
