15. John Cena Vs. Bray Wyatt - Payback 2014
At Payback 2014, John Cena and Bray Wyatt met in a rematch
from their recent WrestleMania XXX encounter, although this time it would of
course be in Last Man Standing action.
And in something of a rarity, this second meeting was actually better than the original. Not that the WrestleMania bout was particularly poor, rather this one was just particularly good.
At times this degenerated into six-man action, with Erick Rowan and Luke Harper getting involved before the Usos would come to Cena’s aid. Not that it detracted from the showcase, which included that awesome moment in which Cena lobbed the steel steps right at Wyatt’s face, and an FU through a flight case at the foot of the Payback stage.
Cena then buried Wyatt (literally, not figuratively) under another flight case, and in doing so emphasised the incredible measures it would take to overcome his opponent. From the booking to the performance, there were impressive displays all around with this one.
