Every WWE Last Man Standing Match Ranked - From Worst To Best

9. John Cena Vs. Batista - Extreme Rules 2010

Widely-regarded as one of the best Last Man Standing matches in WWE history, I was reluctant to rank this one any higher on account of the contest’s finish.

This was the scene of John Cena’s infamous duct tape trick, in which he’d tape Batista’s legs to the turnbuckle and prevent him from standing to break the 10 count. Personally, that was just far too cheesy for my liking, but I appreciate that it was at least an original concept.

Besides, even I can’t deny that the preceding match itself was a pretty awesome affair, though not necessarily any less than you’d expect from these two absolute juggernauts.

Perhaps the biggest praise you could give this match is that they had the fans so heavily invested that they were actually cheering Cena for a change. Of course, that might have had something to do with Batista delving out trash talk to children in the crowd.

Still, all that aside, the wacky ending just left something of an unpleasant aftertaste. Metaphorically speaking, of course.
