31. Batista Vs. Kane - SmackDown 2007

While Triple H and Orton could blame injury for their woes, the same can’t be said for Batista and Kane, after a sluggish Last Man Standing match on SmackDown in 2007.

As mentioned previously, these matches don't tend to be the most rip-roaring, fast-paced encounters, so you’re almost asking for trouble when you book two of your bigger, more lumbering stars into a match of this type.

Don’t get me wrong, Batista and Kane are two of the better big men we’ve ever seen, but paired together, and in this type of match-up, it just didn’t quite gel as you might have hoped.

Plus, this wasn’t even a World Heavyweight Championship match, despite the fact that Batista was the title-holder at the time, and it took place in the middle of the SmackDown show. That just made this one feel like something of an afterthought, which isn’t at all how this kind of match should be portrayed.
