Every WWE Last Man Standing Match Ranked - From Worst To Best

30. Sheamus Vs. Alberto Del Rio - Main Event 2016

Speaking of afterthoughts, now seems like a fairly appropriate time to feature Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio as the next entry on this list. These two went at it in a Last Man Standing match on Main Event, of all shows, in a match that I must admit I couldn’t even remember taking place!

It seems the guy in charge of subtitles on the WWE Network also forgot about it too, as he had this one listed as a 'Street Fight' in the description for the show.

It was in fact a Last Man Standing match, though, which Sheamus would win and thus retain his United States Championship. But - and I know I keep harping on about this - this just felt like too small a stage for a Last Man Standing match. At least, not unless you want it to feel like a throwaway filler bout.

A decent contest, though nothing more than that; to many of its predecessors, this one pales in comparison (Sheamus pun intended).
