29. Roman Reigns Vs. Kane - Raw 2014
Again, here we have another match that, in the grand scheme
of things, has since been largely forgotten about. On the Aug 4, 2014 episode of Monday Night Raw, the Authority kicked off night by announcing a
spur-of-the-moment Last Man Standing match between Roman Reigns and Kane.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, due to its lack of build this wasn’t quite the spectacle you might have hoped for.
They did at least throw in some extreme moments, though, with Roman going through a table. Of course, a Reigns resurgence would see him win eventually, but it was via a simple Spear (hardly the most emphatic way to win a Last Man Standing match).
This one came at a time when making Reigns look strong was clearly a top priority, and it really showed here. As such, this one just doesn’t stand up to the better matches of its type.
