How He Won It: Sandow won the Smackdown MITB ladder match at Money in the Bank 2013. He outlasted a decidedly midcard-looking field comprised of Dean Ambrose, Jack Swagger, Cody Rhodes, Fandango, Cesaro and Wade Barrett.

What He Did With It: The Intellectual Saviour of the Masses went on a losing streak and split from tag partner Cody in the aftermath of his big win. He had a brief feud with Rhodes, which involved Dusty's son throwing the briefcase into the Gulf of Mexico. Sandow, bright spark that he is, introduced a new, custom-made and waterproof briefcase afterwards.

After yet more losses, Sandow tried to cash-in on a one-armed John Cena on the October 28th episode of Raw. Cena, naturally, won the match by pinfall, making Sandow the second wrestler to fail his cash-in, after Big Match John himself.

Effect On Career: Why did they even bother giving Sandow the briefcase in the first place? They clearly had no plans for him, as evidenced by the rushed, one-sided Cody feud and his losing ways. This only made Cena look stronger, something he didn't really need, and seemed like a case of WWE panic booking.

Sandow's career never really recovered after losing it. Had he held it for longer, he probably could have done some great stuff, but it was not to be.
