How He Won It: In the opener of the 2015 MITB pay-per-view. Sheamus beat Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, Kane, Dolph Ziggler, Neville and Kofi Kingston in a decent match. Realistically, only Reigns, Orton or Sheamus could have won the thing. He became only the second WWE superstar, after Edge, to win MITB, King of the Ring and the Royal Rumble.
What He Did With It: The Celtic Warrior held the briefcase while he feuded with Randy Orton for what seeemed like an age, eventually cashing-in on new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns following his tournament victory in the main event Survivor Series, aligning himself with Triple H and The Authority in the process.
Effect On Career: Sheamus was a transitional champion and everyone knew it, with Reigns winning the belt for real a few weeks later on Raw. Sheamus would get a rematch the week after but failed to win it and then moved into the aimless League of Nations thing.
Less than a year later, Sheamus' MITB win and title reign feels like a distant memory to a large number fans.
