Every WWE Money In The Bank Winner Ranked Worst to Best
4. Randy Orton (2013)
Here is how you properly use Money in the Bank to jumpstart a directionless veteran’s career. For years, Randy Orton was completely treading water as a babyface, moving from program to program with no sense of momentum or intrigue. By winning the WWE Championship MiTB and cashing in on Daniel Bryan (with the help of Triple H), Orton got the boost he needed to become a top guy again.
Now part of the newly-formed Authority stable, Orton went from being a dull babyface to a hot heel. While his feuds with Big Show and John Cena were soundly rejected by the fans, Orton main-evented every pay-per-view from Night of Champions to WrestleMania (save for the Rumble, of course). After miring in the midcard with nothing to chew on, it’s quite the boost to win the WWE Championship, merge it with the World Heavyweight Championship, and hold onto both until dropping it in the main event of WrestleMania.
Say what you will about Orton, but that Money in the Bank win was the shot in the arm he needed.
