Every WWE NXT Call-Up In 2017: Ranked From Worst To Best

2. Asuka

Shinsuke Nakamura
WWE

It speaks volumes of the way WWE have booked their NXT call-ups in 2017 that someone who's only been on the main roster since October 22nd places so highly, but here we are.

Asuka has already been established as the Raw women's division's big bad. Her actions have been simple and effective, and while those first couple of matches with Emma set 'The Empress Of Tomorrow' off to a worrying start, WWE have successfully repaired the damage by having her buzz through the competition ever since.

Two unfortunate local talents met their maker via Asuka's head-kicks after the Emma saga concluded, and the former NXT Women's Champion was soon added to Raw's Survivor Series team. She ruled the pay-per-view, eliminating Carmella halfway through the bout, before finding herself suck in a two-on-one situation towards the end. Fortunately, 'The Empress' destroyed both Tamina and Natalya in quick succession, and stood tall as the sole survivor.

Asuka has since massacred both Alicia Fox and Dana Brooke, and with Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Mickie James preoccupied with Absolution, it won't be long before she's competing for championship gold. Here's hoping WWE don't find a way to screw it up.
