The fact this WWE Hall of Famer was able to not only make a jaw-dropping return from retirement at the 2020 Royal Rumble, but then go on to add a number of other stellar in-ring performances and programs to his already overflowing back catalogue after a career-ending neck injury is about as astonishing as it gets.

That euphoric Rumble pop will live on forever. And so too will that epic WrestleMania 37 main event clash against 'The Tribal Chief' and 'The American Dragon', his stellar trilogy with Seth Rollins, and no-doubt surreal time spent tagging with his returning part-timer wife Beth Phoenix.

None of it seemed remotely possible even just a few years before the start of this decade. But here Edge was, throwing down with Demons inside of Hell in a Cell, winning Royal Rumbles, and beating the p*ss out of Randy Orton once again.

Even his failed 2022 heel turn managed to lay the foundations for the Judgment Day faction that is currently running Monday Night Raw.

So, if this icon does decide to finally call it a day on his own terms at some point this year, then he can hold his head high as the undisputed greatest WWE part-timer of the decade.
