5. Money In The Bank

Money in the Bank is fast becoming WWE’s second best match-centric PPV event, closely following the Royal Rumble. Both events are about earning championship opportunities, so the stakes are built in, and the looming question of when a cash in will take place makes MITB one of the most important events in WWE’s calendar.

This year's MITB match was like a fan’s wet dream – it was a high impact bout, one that featured Ambrose, Cesaro, Zayn, Owens, Jericho and Del Rio at their very best. It also managed to make an entertaining mega-feud out of a languishing and directionless mid-card, and Ambrose’s eventual win and same-night cash in was one of the most dramatic moments of the year.

While most of the card felt like filler, the titular MITB match, Reigns vs Rollins and Styles vs Cena were all fantastic displays of talent.
