'The Night' signalled a shift for Monday Night Raw. Debuting as a bumper theme on Raw 1000 before becoming the show's official opening theme the following week, it arrived just as the company celebrated all of the red brand's previous eras and moved into a new one. Unfortunately, the track did little to excite us for it.
A decent song, sure, it just lacked any of the fire power we had come to expect from the previous opening themes. It wasn't loud, powerful, epic, memorable or edgy and it was symbolic of a product that was losing its identity more and more as the years of the PG Era rolled by.
Catchy, yes, but Raw it was not.
