28. Eva Marie

Then: Eva Marie's Diva throwback ways failed to hit with fans during her first run between 2013-2017, so much so that WWE gave up on her. Then, in late-2020, it was confirmed that the organisation wanted to try, try again. Surely things would be different this time around? Right? Right?!

Wrong.

Piper Niven was bizarrely rethought as Doudrop (whatever that means) during this awkward Eva reprise. 'All Red Everything' had dyed her hair pink, but that was about the only tangible change to her act. By November 2021, everyone had lost interest - Marie wanted to do movies, and WWE management knew they were cutting their losses by sending her packing all over again.

Now: Eva actually has an inspiring tale about overcoming addictions, which led to her joining The Hopeaholics podcast in 2023. During a chat with Chris Van Vliet, Marie was open and upfront about her limitations as a pro wrestler, but came across well throughout the chat.

Put it this way: She's under no illusions that she was ever going to be the next Charlotte Flair or Toni Storm between the ropes. Eva tried to play her role to the best of her abilities, and she had some fun during both WWE layovers.

Today, she focuses on inspiring others, dabbling in some acting work and podcasting. Realistically, she doesn't have much to offer the pro wrestling world and that's fine. You won't find many fans who want to see her show up on Raw, SmackDown or NXT anytime soon.

Eva just didn't mix with the biz.
