Every WWE Royal Rumble 'Final Four' - From Worst To Best

17. 2009 - Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, Triple H & Randy Orton

Randy Orton and Legacy actually accomplished that thing that stables try to do in Rumbles, eliminating all the competition to craft a final four that perfectly suits their plans. Unfortunately, they had already kicked out Manu, so the fourth man wound up being Triple H. Aside from Cody Rhodes, I'm indifferent at best when it comes to the performers here, but the execution more than makes up for that. If this were 3-on-1 against, say, John Cena, then you could be justified saying there's no drama and that he'd eliminate them all without breaking a sweat, but Triple H embraced the drama and it (mostly) worked. It was a unique idea and worked well in execution, but did lead to one of the most lacklustre WWE Championship matches in WrestleMania history.
