Points in favor of this quartet: three of the four combatants would be new to the main event scene. Counting against: the one established guy was Randy Orton, the dullest professional wrestler to ever become a top-tier superstar. This also marks the most over that Santino Marella would ever be, as he materialized from the aether to Cobra ADR in the face. He blew it, because Santino Marella, but for a hot minute it really looked like the Milan Miracle would be the one to stop Albertos WWE Title destiny being fulfilled. In fact, that person was Edge, who beat Del Rio at 'Mania in a disappointing 10-minute curtain-jerker that wound up being Edge's final match.
