Every WWE Smackdown Intro Ranked – From Worst To Best

11. Early 2004

Heading into 2004, SmackDown retained its soundtrack from the previous year - “I Want It All” by the WWE’s very own Jim Johnston.

The black and white vignettes were also kept, but those who featured in them varied slightly. Here we saw newer stars, such as John Cena, Booker T and Rob Van Dam feature alongside the SmackDown stalwarts like Angle and Guerrero.

I’ve pipped this one ever so slightly ahead of the late 2003 version though because of the awesome closing shot we get of Guerrero, glancing out of what looks like a confession box, something that not only makes for a striking image but could also been interpreted as a nod to his real-life demons, adding further layers to his on-screen character.

Either that or I'm reading far too much into things.
