Every WWE Smackdown Intro Ranked – From Worst To Best

10. 2007

Into the top ten now and we’re starting to arrive at the big hitters. Here we have one of the greatest SmackDown themes in history in the form of “Rise Up” by Drowning Pool.

Those distant-sounding, ringing notes that kick this one off provide the perfect calm before the storm as the heavier chorus is then finally unleashed, getting the adrenaline flowing and laying the foundations for an awesome show.

However, I’ve penalised this particular intro slightly because of the cartoonish graphics that feature on the video. Footage of the wrestlers is frozen and then morphed into some rather creepy caricatures before flashing back to the original clip.

For me, that just marks something of a slight blemish on what is otherwise a top-drawer intro.
