Every WWE Smackdown Intro Ranked – From Worst To Best

24. Late 2008

While that track from late 2008 was pretty poor, the tune from four years later was hardly much more fitting itself.

Not necessarily a terrible song, this one just didn’t feel right for a WWE show in the 21st century. The ringing chords to kick things off sounded somewhat dated, as were the vocals that would later kick in.

The visual portion may have been slightly better than our previous entry (we at least got to see glimpses of action inside the ring), but if we’re being really picky, the shots of the wrestlers seemed to linger on screen for too long. It’s a far cry from the days of old when we’d see images flash across the screen ten to the dozen, with this slower approach making the show feel more like a TV sitcom than a fast-paced, action-packed wrestling show.
