Every WWE SmackDown Live Episode Ranked - From Worst To Best
2. Super SmackDown 2015 - 22/12/2015
It is indicative of how average live episodes of SmackDown have been that this sits at number two. This show was anchored by a recurring angle that could only be described as being 'dreary', where Stardust seemingly stole Christmas from Santino Marella only for Titus O'Neill and Neville to win it back by defeating The Ascension. Cody didn't really do a great job when it came to choosing his henchmen.
There is one great reason to load this show up on the WWE Network however, and that is the main event. Dean Ambrose was the Intercontinental Champion at the time, and he defended that prestigious title in the main event against Kevin Owens and Dolph Ziggler.
The 13-minute match was every bit as good as you'd expect considering the men involved, and Ambrose was able to survive with his title. There was a great double-finisher spot towards the end, where Ambrose hit Owens with Dirty Deeds whilst simultaneously receiving a Zig Zag from Ziggler. It looked great, and was fairly representative of the whole match.
Elsewhere, The New Day retained the tag straps over The Lucha Dragons, the Wyatts bested The Dudleyz, Ryback and Kane in an eight-man that was the definition of mediocre, and Becky Lynch got covered in eggnog.
