Every WWE SmackDown Live Episode Ranked - From Worst To Best
3. SmackDown Live! - 29/01/15
After Monday Night RAW was cancelled in the wake of Winter Storm Juno, the SmackDown taping planned for the next day was also cancelled. RAW was rescheduled as a live episode of SmackDown three days later, and a fun show was headlined by Daniel Bryan beating Kane in a Casket Match after a hefty Knee Plus.
The Roman Reigns backlash was in full flow by now, as The Guy was fresh off winning the Royal Rumble in the face of a crowd who had long given up on the match. As such Roman participated in the first match of the show against Big Show, with WWE hoping that the crowd's complete apathy towards Show in 2015 would lead to them siding with Roman. It didn't really work.
Elsewhere, The Ascension defeated Gold and Stardust to continue the break-up of the latter, and Rusev and John Cena started their program proper with an in-ring promo that saw gold from Rusev, and classic phoning-it-in Cena.
Oh, and Kane gave a fun apocalyptic promo stood next to a casket, where he seemingly stayed all the way until the main event.
