It hurts that Naomi's second reign isn't even higher than this, but unfortunately she was critically undermined by her show’s booking. Her return from injury and subsequent reclamation of her title at Orlando’s WrestleMania 33 event was one of the best victories in the history of the title, a moment that still provides chills in spite of the minimal time the women got to work with. Her aura as champion was huge, with her entrance and custom title being stunning, and her work in ring was consistently solid.

Naomi’s always been a more talented worker than she’s often been given credit for, and in the aftermath of the brand split, she worked hard to improve her in ring work and impressive athleticism. She looked fantastic whenever she stepped in the ring, doing incredibly flexible manoeuvres and having fun matches with most people she worked with. She felt like the next big star for women’s wrestling in WWE.

Unfortunately, her momentum and distinctive qualities weren’t capitalised on, with her PPV feuds being devoted to The Welcoming Committee, Natalya and Lana’s debut as an in ring competitor. She didn’t get to have potential classics with Charlotte or Becky, or help boost the prospering Smackdown division. Instead, she dropped the belt too soon as SummerSlam, and hasn’t gotten it or the Raw title in the years since. Still, she impressed so much with what she was given, and hopefully she will get the reign she deserves in the near future.
